It is advisable to reserve a place for your child as early as possible. Places are awarded on a first come first served basis, with priority being given to siblings of children already attending. For the welfare and security of the children already at Little Gems, visits are by appointment. This is to ensure we have a member of staff available to spend time with you and your child, whilst not reducing child/adult ratios. We do not have visits during our lunchtime of 12 noon to 1.30pm, as our most important task at this time is to ensure a pleasant mealtime.
After your visit to Little Gems and if you wish to formally book a place, a deposit of £50 will be payable. This is refunded against your child's first month's fees. Notice of cancellation of a place is normally one month.
Nursery fees are payable in advance monthly, but weekly payments are accepted. Payment can be by cheque, cash, or bill payment. We can accept a variety of childcare vouchers towards payments.
There are no charges when the nursery is closed during bank holidays or during our closure weeks. One month's notice is required of family holidays, a reduced fee of 50% will be due for up to two weeks of the year. When your child is absent due to their or your sickness, full fees will still be due. If sickness becomes long term, this will be reviewed after one month.
