At Little Gems we want your child to enjoy being in a safe and caring environment from the moment you drop them off to the time you pick them up. We have caring, experienced and qualified staff ready to offer a hug, a helping hand and the skills to stretch their imagination and learning.

We are open for 50 weeks of the year with one week closure for Christmas and New Year and one week late August. Opening times are from 8am till 6pm Monday to Friday. We offer flexible sessions and days, including shift patterns for all ages. If you are expecting a baby we will gladly accept you on to our baby waiting list.

We opened in September 2002. Our nursery caters for children from the age of 3 months to school age. We can provide before and after school care as well as holiday care for children up to the age of 8. We offer a pick up and drop off service to North Petherton Infant school. 

We opened new baby and toddler rooms in August 2005. Our Explorers room for babies has a homely environment with a seperate sleep room. The routine is relaxed with babies following their own home routine. Our babies join with the older children for lunch and snack times. This  helps with the transition from the Explorers room to the Movers and Grovers room and provides a happy social meal experience for every one.

At around 18 months depending on the individual developmental stage of each child, they will move from the Explorers room to the Movers and Grovers room. This transition is gradual with visits arranged until we feel your child is ready for this next stage. Again at about 2 1/2  years they will move into the foundation stage room.

We offer Pre-school sessions for 3 and 4 year olds these are from 9.00am until 11.30am and 1pm until 3.30pm with meals and  care available out side of these times. We accept nursery education grants for 3 and 4 year olds.
